Conditions for Hire and Sale

A refundable deposit is required on top of your hiring fee of roughly the same amount as your hire fee.

We accept credit cards or cash for refundable deposits or EFT

· If you give cash for your refundable deposit you will receive the deposit back in cash.

· If you pay your deposits with a credit card this will be refunded back to your credit card on safe return of your costumes ( Please make sure the items are returned within the seven day hiring period or a late charge will apply).

· PLEASE ENSURE YOU BRING THE SAME CARD WITH YOU WHICH YOU USED TO PAY FOR YOUR RENTAL ITEMS INITIALLY. We cannot refund a different card to the one that was used for the hire as the bank will place this money into a suspense account. If you do not bring the same card back, we will have to refund you your refundable deposit by EFT into your bank account and EFT refund conditions apply

· EFT refunds can take 10-14 business days to be processed upon safe return of the costumes

GENERAL CONDITIONS OF HIRE

I acknowledge that I was given adequate opportunity to inspect the condition of the goods and/or items described and/listed in my invoice and I accept delivery in such condition.

I further acknowledge that I have received delivery of the goods described and/listed in my invoice on the date stipulated in the invoice.

I agree that goods delivered to me are a good quality, in good working order and free of any defects.

I undertake to return all goods in the same condition and/or order on or before the due date stated on my invoice.

Failure to return the goods on the due date, I shall be liable for a weekly hire charge equivalent to the hire charges stated on my invoice until such time as the items are returned or replacement value thereof has been paid.

I agree to pay the full replacement value on my invoice in the event of, among other things, damage, loss, theft and/or destruction of the hired items.

Any damage, loss, theft and/or destruction to the hired item before it is returned to Sinderella Costume Hire CC is presumed to have occurred while the hired item was in my possession and I will be liable for such damage.

In the alternative to paragraph 6 above and at the sole discretion of Sinderella Costume Hire CC, I agree to pay the full cost incurred in restoring and/or repairing the hired items to the same condition they were when delivered to me.

I agree that my deposit will be forfeited and used for repairs and/or restoration of the hired items in the event of damage thereof. I will be liable to pay the shortfall if the deposit is insufficient to cover such costs.

I agree that Sinderella Costume Hire CC shall charge a cancellation fee in the event that I cancel my order or reservation.

I agree to the jurisdiction of the Magistrate’s Court in case of all legal proceedings arising out of this agreement, even if the amount exceeds the jurisdiction of the Magistrate’s Court.

The costs incurred by Sinderella Costume Hire CC in the exercise of its rights in terms of this agreement will include legal costs on attorney and own client scale, collection commission, interest at the legal rate and tracing fees.

I confirm that I was given adequate opportunity to read these terms and conditions and further confirm that they are in plain and understandable language.

Items for sale are classified as any items NOT for rental ie consumables and dress up novelties that do not require return after hire period.
